Vertical gardens is a great solution for a big city. They require minimum care and add greenery to a busy city while having a small footprint. French guy named Patrick Blank is the creator of Vertical Garden. Here is an interesting video I found about him and vertical gardening. I wish we had those here in Boston.

Underground Helsinki
Very interesting video, especially relevant with the population density going up. Who knows, maybe someday quite a lot of things will go underground. Great solution to maintaining the low skyline of Helsinki.
